New exhibit brings color

to downtown Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH — Last Thursday in downtown Boynton Beach, the 12th Avenue of the Arts exhibition cycled in artist Cecilia Lueza’s exhibit, titled “Color Effects.”

The Avenue of the Arts is an ongoing project created to help bring businesses and the people who live in the community together.

“It’s a year-long, on-loan rotating exhibit that connects our civic-cultural district to the Boynton Harbour Marina,” said Debby Coles-Dobay, public arts manager for the city. “This year the board decided to open the invitation to area artists for a solo exhibition that attracts the public to a meaningful exhibition.

Dobay said several artists submitted their sculpture collection for consideration, and Lueza’s work was selected “because of their size and colorful presence.”
